Dear colleague,

Please be informed of the Africa Peace and Conflict Network (APCN) and its new website www.africaworkinggroup.org. The Network is dedicated to contributing to a positive peace in Africa. Activities include research and knowledge generation and dissemination--done through APCN's open-access email listserv, publications, and symposia--and peacebuilding work, assistance, and training. APCN produces a variety of public events and publications. We welcome new members and affiliates; the link to join our email listserv is on this page: http://www.africaworkinggroup.org/contact_us.html.

Publications and call for submissions:
Please see attached call for submissions and nominations for co-editor and Editorial Board positions. Self-nominations are welcome, as are submissions of quality research articles, briefings (analytical commentaries, policy proposals, practitioner reflections/reports), multimedia pieces, and book/film reviews broadly related to any aspect of peace and conflict in Africa. Submissions are peer-reviewed and feedback is provided to authors. APCN permits authors to also publish their work elsewhere.

For additional information, see website’s Publications page, where several articles are available for download, and more papers and podcasts are in process. To view APCN’s inaugural release–a photojournal on Sierra Leone-CLICK HERE.

Organizational partnering:
We are partnered with a number of peacebuilding and human rights organizations and are open to forging additional institutional links and collaborations.
We welcome suggestions and proposals for partnering, collaborative projects, APCN activities, etc.; send them to mdavidhe@yahoo.com, Cc: aniuska@nova.edu.

Best wishes,
Mark Davidheiser

My apologies for my lateness in replying - I have been working very hard on a legal case and my technical skills on internet are not so great. You sound like a very interesting and dynamic person. I look forward to sharing ideas with you and hearing more about your interests and pursuits.

All the best,
Balwinder
