Nnenna Nwakanma holds triple Bachelors Degrees in Social Sciences, English
and History, and Masters Degrees in International Relations and Law. She has been one of the major Civil Society actors in the World
Summit on the Information Society.

A
key participant in the Global Information Society, she advises on the
African Information Society Initiative (AISI) and is also an
accomplished Civil Society trainer on major Information Society
issues.

Nnenna
Nwakanma has been part of the founding members of various ICT
initiatives in Africa – The African Civil Society on the
Information Society (ACSIS), the African Network of Information
Society Actors – ANISA, and the Free Software and Open Source
Foundation for Africa – FOSSFA.

Nnenna
has lived in in Nigeria, Cameroon, Togo, Ghana and Ivory Coast. She
speaks English, French and local West African languages

Nnenna
is running a next generation ICT consultancy firm, nnenna.org. She
is one of the Directors of Open Source Intiative, Chair of FOSSFA
council and Vice President of the Digital Solidarity Fund.

2011 appears to be a year of extraordinary mobilizations of the African citizens.  I am asking myself to what extent the Internet is "responsible", "guilty", "instrumental" in all of it.

 

I am taking a look at West Africa. Can what is happening in the Arab region happen here?  What roles will Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn play?  Who will do what?

Je me prénomme Berthe, j'ai 28 ans et je suis Ivoirienne. Je suis en train de parachever une thèse sur le rôle de la justice transitionnelle dans le processus de paix et de réconciliation en Sierra Léone. La justice transitionnelle et de façon générale la résolution des conflits est un sujet qui me passionne.J'aborde plusieurs aspects à la fois: la question du genre, de la société civile, des médias, le DDR...
J'aimerais trouver auprès de vous une oreille attentive et surtout pouvoir bénéficier de votre savoir et de votre expérience.
