I am in the process of setting up Institute for Peace and Development in India with the primary objective of awarding Post Graduate Degree and also Research opportunities leading to PhD. I am looking for people who can help me in identifying universities/institutes in Europe or North America who would like to twin with our institute both for award of degree and exchange of students. - Formerly Administrator for Oxfam UK and Ireland was born and brought up in Kuttanad in God’s own country - Kerala. Studied at the St. Xaviers College in Ahmedabad and got Management training from Oxford. As Administrator for Oxfam, a British International Development Agency, travelled extensively within India supporting and interacting with a wide range of social work, relief and development agencies. Travels overseas were mainly to educate the general public in developed nations about the plight of poor in developing countries and to encourage a fair trade. Has taken part in a number of conferences and seminars related to relief and development works both nationally and internationally and initiated setting up of a few Non-Government Organisations. Involved in training and providing management support to socio-pastoral agencies. Over the last two years has been actively campaigning for a better deal for the salt workers and migrant labourers of India. Currently working on a marine wealth rejuvenation programme in Gulf of Mannar. Latest Publication : " Salt of Sorrow".
