For your question, how to solve violence/violent groups?
Right Strategy is 2 fold: 1. Philosophical 2. Personal
1. Philosophical: All (rebels, terrorists or any groups) all have reasons for violence. But reasons are as Philosopher Martin Heidegger said, like unending horizons (there are so many layers of reasons on both sides. No quick fix; an attitude of judging the other as fools is never a solution. So the approach is dialogical - dialogue, dialogue again dialogue.
2. Personal: As Martin Buber said the approach is an attitude from “I-it to I-Thou” relationship, respect for one another. With this attitude of dialogue, each side is able to realize how much they harm, are selfish and how much they can give up for without destroying ‘self but giving up ‘selfishness’.
NB: Permanent future strategy should be education on nonviolence in all schools and try to deprive availability of all instruments of violence (arms, pistol etc).

Just passed by to say hello to and to wish you a blessed and wonderful week.

I am glad to know you are interested in peace and wants to know more. Yes, MK Universtiy offers PhD in Peace Studies. Besides they have certificate, Diploma, Masters Degree etc; these studies are focused on Mahatma Gandhi's concepts of Peace and Nonviolence. Hundtiction University directly do not offer Peace studies. There is something for Aging Population under Gerontology. If you are interested to do PhD there are many Mennonite Universities in USA and in Canada. Best wishes and peace.

Thank you so much too for your nice and kind words, I pray and wish that one day you will make it to Uganda and help the people of this region, and since its your dream to come to Uganda, i know God will make it possible, there's nothing that fails in Life as long as you are hopeful, a friend of mine called Joanne from California visited Uganda last month and stayed here for three weeks, she did like the place, visited places, groups with which we work with and those of other sisters in Mubende District, she slept at mine for two nights, left for Mubende District where she had other friends(sisters) and also went to Northern Uganda thus in Nebbi District that is where she came back and set for Home, I liked her company. Hope she returns as she had promised to visit us again in Future. I pray that you too come and visit us, teach us a lot. Will be grateful
Love and blessings.
