What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?

Interest in continuing my education (master's level) in the field. Access to opportunities for practical experience in conflict resolution, mediation and transformation.

I'm in my last year of undergraduate studies at the American University in Bulgaria (small liberal arts institution), double-majoring in Political Science and International Relations and Journalism and Mass Communications. I have recently become iinterested/nvolved in discovering, encouraging and channeling the vast potential that every human being has for conflict resolution. I have studied abroad in Japan, where I gained invaluable insights about the process of democratization in Southeast Asia and am planning on taking my academic interest further, and of course, eventually turning it into a vocational one.
