Hi Luis,

I am a bit new at this network and saw your message only a moment ago. That is so exciting about your work with ACR. I would love to learn more about your experience and ideas.

I have been plugging away at my project on successful peace initiatives and am interested in feedback. My first book relating to peace was a graphic novel -- or comic book, if you like -- and I think I will stick with that format, because it seems to have appealed quite a lot to young people and I think that is important. I am always on the lookout for good stories to include, especially of peacemaking that has happened from the ground up.

Well, keep in touch. I'll try to be better about checking into this network!

Thanks,
Heather

I did my degree in Conflict Transformation. I haven't completed it yet, I need to find a job/internship etc in order to write my thesis paper. My boyfriend has connections in Arequipa, Peru from his Medical Mission there. I think we would be planning the doctor's arrival and maybe be doing some translation. It's not in the exact Conflict Transformation field, but from there I can do some research at least and maybe write my paper and get my degree. It'll also get me some experience since I don't have a lot of experience. We have to come up with funding for ourselves and fine tune all the details - like what exactly our job description will be :-P It's a start though ;)

When I read your profile, I noticed you were from Peru as well. I don't have a lot of experience there. I traveled there for a month with my boyfriend. He knew some people in Arequipa from a Medical Mission he did so we stayed there for about 2 weeks and then did some traveling. I might be going back in January for work, which would be great because I need a job and Peru was wonderful :) I also majored in Latin American Studies and Spanish and I had an interest in the Andean Region.

About your website. I like the look of it, it looks very professional. After looking at it a couple of times, I feel like the transitions are too slow.
