- What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
- I beliave that one day the society will reach Global Peace. It is my vision, my dream, my life. I may not see it, but I wish with all my heart, the next generations could see it.
- Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
- Laura Baracaldo es una profesional en Ciencia Politica y Gobierno de la universidad del Rosario en Bogota, Colombia con cinco anos de experiencia en seguridad y defensa nacional y formulacion de politicas publicas.
Luego de estudiar durante un ano en el Intitut d'Études Politiques en Strasbourg, France, Laura regreso a Colombia e inicio su carrera como asesora estrategica en el Ministerio de Defesa de su pais. Posteriormente, y apasionada por temas relacionados con resolucion de conflictos y mediacion, se desempeno como consultora en politicas publicas para diversos organismos entre los cuales se encuentran UNODC, El Intituto de Desarrollo Urbano, asi como asesora en el Senado de Colombia.
Actualmente, Laura se encuentra radicada en Washington DC.
