I am the Director of Programs for the PeaceJam Foundation. My job is to develop curriculum and to build and support or PeaceJam Affiliate Offices across the globe. I have a PhD. in Educational Psychology.
PeaceJam creates young leaders committed to positive change in themselves, their communities and the world through the inspiration of 12 Nobel Peace Laureates who are members of the PeaceJam Foundation.
We have had over 600,000 youth from around the world participate in our PeaceJam programs over the past 14 years. As part of PeaceJam, youth from age 5 to 29 have studied the lives and work of leaders dedicated to peaceful resolution of local and global conflicts -- namely 12 Nobel Peace Laureates including the Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu, Oscar Arias, and Rigoberta Menchu Tum. As part of the program youth engage in conflict resolution, problem solving, and community building as they apply the lessons learned from the Laureates to issues in their own communities and countries. Many of the youth also have the opportunity to attend PeaceJam Youth Conferences where they have the opportunity to work side by side with a Nobel Peace Laureate.

Dear Kate,
I am Ardian Adžanela (originally Axhanela), a new member of the OCDN network.
As an Ethicist, by default I have always been interested in finding the most effective mechanisms to raise the level of Ethical thinking and Ethical doing of both individuals and society. The expected conclusion of that enquiry was that an Ethicist might find the skills in psychology (including educational psychology of course) very useful in order to reach and positivelly (Peacefully) influence people.

For this reason I am in pursuit of as much training in psychology (educational psychology included) as possible. Unfortunately, there isn't much training of that kind offered in my residence place, Sarajevo (Bosnia), except for the regular full-time 3-4 year-long Psychology course at the University here, which is not an option for me as an employed family man.

I would be immensly grateful to you on any feedback or information about the trainings of that kind offered in this quarter of the world where I reside ( Sarajevo, The Balkans or even the Central Europe) or perhaps if you know anything about some travelling/visiting trainers that might eventually visit Sarajevo ( Bosnia) in future.

Certainly, I would be happy if you accepted me in your circle of friends here on the PCDN network
