Profile Information

What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
My experience as a survivor of the 22 years of conflict in Northern Uganda, a witness to the indiscriminate atrocities, brutal impact of the conflict, I have deep passion and commitments to peace, preventive diplomacy and peaceful resolutions of conflict while celebrating diversity. From interpersonal conflict to wars and intra to inter conflicts including the fight against terrorist, peaceful resolutions of conflict with an effective engagement of parties in conflict remains the ultimate means to attaining sustainable peace.

Education background:
MA in International Policy Studies with specialization in International Negotiation and Conflict Resolution - Monterey Institute of International Studies Affiliate to Middlebury College, California, MA in Development studies - Martyrs University - Nkozi Uganda, Bachelor of statistics specialization in Development Planning - Makerere University Uganda.

Work experience:
Graduate Intern - Meditation Support Unit, Department of Political Affairs, United Nations - 6 months; Mediator - The Supreme Court of California - 1 year; Senior Human Rights Program Officer/Conflict Adviser - Agency for Cooperation and Research in Development (ACORD) - 4 years; Program Officer Human Rights and Governance - ACORD - 3 years; Data Analyst- the Electoral commission of Uganda
