For the past ten years, I have involved myself in the work of organizations that advance human rights and environmental protection while simultaneously pursuing my education. For example, I founded an Amnesty International group at Bremen University in Germany and a CIVIC Worldwide (Campaign for Innocent Victims in War) chapter at the University of Aalborg in Denmark. I conducted internships with Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility and CARE GoG (Golf of Guinea) in Ghana. I raised awareness of the link between extreme poverty and climate change in the run-up to the Copenhagen Climate Conference as an “Avaaz Climate Action Fellow." I hold a M.Sc. in Development and International Relations from the University of Aalborg.

I am researching the role of Pentecostal conversions in Buduburam refugee settlement. I am interested in how they help refugees in coping with difficult political and socioeconomic circumstances as well as how they facilitate intergroup stability within the camp.
