We wish to extend to you our Compliments and to also seize this opportunity to introduce to you our Organization named and styled: BREAKING THE SILENCE INTERNATIONAL, INC. (SOCIETAL WATCH), a civic non partisan, not profit making, non governmental organization, registered under the Non Governmental Organization Registration statute of Liberia (2009).

The Organization was formed in 2009 by group of Liberians mainly from what is considered as slum, poor, disadvantaged and marginalized communities in Monrovia and Liberia as a whole. Among other things, the major aims of the Organization are to promote Democracy, human rights and good governance in Liberian through dialogue and consensus building at the grossroot/community level, we aim to create the avenue where the governed and the government will meet and the people will have the means of putting forth their views to their leaders,

Societal Watch’s Vision is to have a democratic Liberia where government is accountable to the governed and in which all the citizens will freely and willingly participate in the social, political and economic affairs of the Country. The Organization’s mission is to promote and strengthen democracy, grassroot rule of law, human rights, good governance and development in Liberia through constant, regular and continuous election monitoring, lobbying and advocacy, civic education, training, information Dissemination and conflict resolution. Societal Watch Core values are Professionalism, Integrity, Commitment, Respect, Love and concern for others, stewardship, Impartiality, empathy and transparency and accountability.
