Profile Information

What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
I come from a country that is unfortunately described as "an area of constant tensions and possible inter-ethnic conflicts". It is Bosnia and Herzegovina, former symbol of inter religious, inter ethnic and international compassion, and modern wounded heart of democracy.
As a student and young activist who worked on several national and international peace-building, and conflict-resolution seminars and project, I would like to use this site to broaden both my personal, and professional, horizons, and to represent my country on its most desirable way: As a land of talented people, who can show a lot to the world.
Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
I was born in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina where I grew up and finished my Elementary and High School education. I work in several NGO's and my specific interest is on peace resolution, conflict resolution, and dealing with traumatized children who come from socially vulnerable groups.
I study political science, and I am currently an exchange student on Duke University in the USA.
Please list the countries and/or regions in which you (or your organization) have direct and significant expertise
the Balkans and Eastern Europe, Caucasian region, the United States of America
What is your current country of residence (or location of your organization)?
Bosnia and Herzegovina
What is your current job (and organization) and/or where and what field are you studying?
"Hi neighbour" - Youth Centre Kastel, assistant of manager. I study political science at University of Banja Luka
Which are your primary sectoral areas of expertise (or the primary sectoral areas of your organization) ?
Civil Society, Conflict Resolution, Democratization, Dialogue, Human Rights
Which are your primary skills areas(or the primary skill areas of your organization)?
Communication, Evaluation, Monitoring, Program Design, Training

It is very pleasing to see this announcement. Since working with NATO forces in Bosnia (2003-2006), I have been advocating for this type of training.
