Profile Information

What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
Well, Many Israelis asked me why I went to Israel and studied Hebrew as a Chinese, for which I always smiled and told them determinedly that I love Middle East and wanted to devoted myself to this region academically. I cant say when I began to have interest in Middle East but had a vague memory in Gulf war when I had a motivation to study war and conflicts. I chose to study Middle East in my MA study in Peking university, china and finished a thesis concentration on the final status issues in Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process and then went to Hebrew University to study Middle East and conflict resolution more systemically. With the strong interest in Middle East, I began to learn Hebrew in a Ulpan in Israel and hope I can master a working language of Hebrew.
