What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?

I am a woman activist who feel pity when i see community surf erring, and where i got married ,i found there were a number of conflicts causing severe surf erring to grassroots women,for along time there had not been peace because of , tribal conflicts, cattle rustlings,political conflicts etc
I founded AWARE-UG to bring interventions on conflicts through sensitizing the communities on peace and conflict resolutions.

I am Ugandan Lady married with 6 grown up children and catering and supporting over 200 OVCin Karamoja.I am a nurse , i left the job to help my community. When i got married in Karamoja region from Northern Uganda , i found live was so differently, the region harsh climate which has famine through out the year which made people wild and backward.As i said when see the women especially who surfer the effects of conflicts , i organized people talk to them and convinced them to be trainers of trainers on peace and conflict resolutions, then we penetrated the communities having forums, dialogues,exchange visits, dramas, radio talk shows and cultural events etc to bring peace and stop conflicts among the tribes, neighbors,and communities.
