You may find that in your research there will always be a challenge to filter out competitiveness from any human activity. Only as an aging adult have I been able to set aside my interest in who wins at sport and learn to appreciate human…"

All the best,
Stephan, good to hear from you. Jul14 I'll still be in the area around Goma (Nyamitaba or Kiwanja, or an IDP camp). We don't come down to Buj/Uvira until July 26 only for part of the day before going to Uvira (Mboko/Ruzizi) the back to Buj and Gitega Aug. 3-13. We're all volunteers, so we only come over for 5-6 weeks then back to our jobs. George
sorry for answering so late... I'm glad you wrote me, I will be in Bujumbura the 14th of July and then travelling back to Baraka. It would be nice if we could meet somewhere and exchange some experiences, I am interested in your programme here and the organisations you work with, as GTZ is going to have an emergency aid project in Uvira too. Maybe your can give me your preliminary programme and I'll see where we could have a meeting.
Yes they have! I am in Buffalo right now working in an adult education program and looking for a way out/ to Africa. I would love to speak at more length with you about your work in Central Africa/ Great Lakes region. I hope to make it to Ohio soon- I was last there in September- but am unsure of when I can. Its great connecting with you here. Do you know anyone in the YS meeting?
My name is Eve and I can just say that I am so excited to meet you through this network! I found you on this network as my research interests coalesce with yours. However, what is even more exciting is that we have more commonalities- I lived in Yellow Springs on and off for four years, attended the Quaker meeting there, and managed Project Woman in Springfield. I do hope that we have a chance to talk more and perhaps meet the next time I come to Ohio.
OB is an idea I am developing. Though I have been training using experiential learning here, OBR does not run courses, and we are still looking for support to put together the infrastructure. meting me wil be meeting OBR- and probably some of of my team mates. see you there!
George, thank you for the introduction and link. I loved AGLI's program. I'll be in Uganda and Rwanda April 15-May 2, and am trying to link with organizations in the region about peacebuilding or capacity building through video, websites, or IT training. I've sent the link to a friend in the region.
You remind me of my brother-in-law - he does AVP programmes in the justice system in Canada, and some work overseas.
