Lawyer and author, educated in Oslo and with LLM degree from NYU School of Law. Latest publication: The Nobel Peace Prize. What Nobel Really Wanted (Praeger 2010, in 2011 translated into Swedish, Finnish, Chinese and Russian). Book (more at http://www.nobelwill.org) led Swedish authorities to start an investigation of the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

Wrote/edited Peace is Possible 1999, http://www.peaceispossible.info. Has been active in Norwegian and international peace organizations since 1982, former vice President of IPB, the International Peace Bureau and present VP of IALANA, International Association of Lawyers Against Nuclear Arms. President of the Norwegian Peace Council for 15 years, now honorary president.
