Hi Plante,

It is great pleasure to meet you through this network. What I understand from your message is that you are interested in doing a master of art degree in International Development Studies (IDS), but of course you will be narrowing on a specific area within the IDS. To be honest, I really don't have that much information about what sources are available in Congo so that you can apply for. But what I assume is that that Fulbright should be functioning there, which is one of the best option for you to submit your application for doing a graduate degree in the US. Your background, a BA in Journalism, can be a good point of support if you apply for a degree in communication, mass media, or even for a degree in IDS. Farther more, if you have high GPA from your undergraduate program and can make a high score TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), you can apply for an assistanship to your favorite school in the US. Chances are that you'll get an teaching/research assistanship.

Good luck.
