What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?

IN KENYA WE HAVE JUST GONE THROUGH ONE OF THE MOST TRYING TIMES AFTER A GENERAL ELECTIONS RESULTS THAT WERE DISPUTED BY THE OPPOSITION PARTY. THERE WAS TOTAL BREAKDOWN IN LAW AND ORDER UNTIL A FORMER UN SECRETARY GENERAL, KOFI ANNAN CAME TO MEDIATE FOR US.THAT IS WHEN I RECOGNISED THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING SOME KNOWLEDGE IN CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND PEACE BUILDING. I HAVE JUST COMPLETED A TRIMESTER AT KAMPALA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY WHERE I AM TAKING A MASTERS PROGRAMME ON THE SAME. I AM ENJOYING THE COURSE IMMENSELY AND I LOOK FORWARD TO COMPLETING NEXT YEAR AND IMMEDIATELY EMBARK ON MY PHD.
