When an army turns against its own people..

The upside of criticism..

So much has been said in the last 2 days, of the Goldstone report indicting Israel as well as the Hamas of acts that "constitute war crimes and may amount to crimes against humanity".

Israel for its part has described the report as unfair, biased against the Jewish state, and encouraging of acts of terror.

What should never be forgotten is the untold human suffering that resulted from the war in Gaza.

As critical as the Goldstone report may be, it has allowed- as Goldstone put it- "the face o… Continue

About time..

The decision of the European union to send a high powered delegation to Harare to meet with the Zimbabwean Government (Robert Mugabe included) has been met with a sense of relief in a lot of quarters.. and rightly so.

This is most probably because the E.U has been brought round to the idea that sanctions are making life simply not worth living for the ordinary Zimbabwean on the streets.

There has to be a place to draw the line...

E.U develoment commmissioner Karel DE Gucht has insisted that r… Continue

Hi Enyi, See africapeace.org.

Among the activities of the Africa Peace and Conflict Network (APCN) is knowledge generation and dissemination.

APCN reviews and publishes research papers, briefings (analytical commentaries, practitioner reports/reflections, etc), book and film reviews, and analytical conference reports.

It also publishes multimedia material. Thus far two photo-essays and a podcast are available at africapeace.org, and an as yet unreleased/original movie is currently under peer review.

We look forward to receiving and publishing additional multimedia pieces. We would be very pleased to receive submissions of your and/or your colleagues' work.

See africapeace.org for more information or to access existing publications. Additional ones are in process and more content will soon be added to the site, which, while fully accessible, is still being built.

Please visit, share your work and thoughts, and spread the word.

I believe very strongly that families are the root of the tree, whether it bears peace or dissension, so I know you are doing tremedously important peacebuilding work. I hope you'll invite women you know to tell their stories on www.peacexpeace.org.

Yes I believe we can do many things together to make the world safer than we found it for for our children. We can start with exchanging our current engagements.
