What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?

I am fascinated by the complexity and diversity of human cultures worldwide, and the relationships between social structures and beliefs and cultures of peace. I am particularly interested in developing culturally relevant and sustainable methods and approaches to conflict resolution and peace-building, and a holistic approach to conflict analysis.

As an anthropologist, social scientist, educator and peace professional I am concerned to develop co-creative strategies for peace-building and positive social development, premised on thorough understanding of local cultures and beliefs. I have been facilitating trainings and workshops for ten years now with diverse groups of people in the UK and elsewhere, and am passionate about empowering people to approach conflict analysis and resolution peacefully, with empathy and creativity.
