Following 10 years in teaching, school leadership, education training and policy in the UK, I moved to Kosovo.

There I have worked with Unicef (on social inclusion), Catholic Relief Services (evaluating an anti-trafficking project), Save the Children (on a multi-ethnic pre-school education project), World Vision (leading a multi-ethnic summer camp for young people from Kosovo, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Albania, Serbia and Montenegro) and the Balkans Peace Park Partnership (where I am the Teacher Co-ordinator for this year's programme in Thethi, Albania). I have learned to speak Albanian (fluently) and Serbian (less so).

I also started up a series of projects of my own which are now managed through my NGO, The Ideas Partnership. These included a micro-finance project working with local crafts, promotion of the Ethnological Museum in Pristina, and a sustainable tourism project with Cultural Heritage Without Borders

I am a writer (of two books and many articles about Kosovo) and translator. I work as a coach and advocate.
