What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?

I was motivated when i realized that, conflicts could be very destructive. In what ever way it takes, it is not good for the human race. People have been wiped out all over the world just because of one conflict or the other.
I formerly worked as Legal Adviser of a Human Rights Organization in my country. I helped as an adviser to victims of Human Rights abuse.
I now work as Human Rights Officer. I pledge for equal rights to all human beings without distinction to race, colour, age, sex and any other form of discrimination.
My father was a police officer who is now retired. He always thought me to live in peace with one another. I grew up that way and today, i am a Human Rights Advocate.

I am called ELVIS SAME MBAH, I am a Cameroonian by birth and Nationality. I am aged 24, born on the 27th of February 1985. I hold a Diploma in Law and I also hold a LAW DEGREE, LLB(HONS) in ENGLISH PRIVATE LAW from the University of Yaounde II Soa - Cameroon. I am still single and searching for the right woman to call my wife, a woman who will also join me in helping out situations where ever there exist a conflict.
I am duty conscious and have a good working relationship with my colleagues. I am always willing to learn those things that i do not know and also, i am always ready also to teach others where i know best. I have taken part in two International UN training Programmes in Ghana, an International training programme on PEACE BUILDING AND GOOD GOVERNANCE FOR AFRICAN CIVILIAN PERSONNEL, Specialization courses on ; DISARMAMENT, DEMOBILIZATION AND REINTEGRATION(DDR) from the 10th to the 21st of November 2008 at the LEGON CENTRE FOR INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS, UNIVERSITY OF ACCRA - GHANA, and an ELECTION MANAGEMENT COURSE that took place from the 15th to the 26th of JUNE 2009 still at the above mentioned centre.
You can bear witness with me that, both programmes have been helping me to end one conflict or the other, be it electoral conflicts that can send a country into war when elections are not carefully handled or to help Disarm ex- combatants in war throne areas so that, a new democratic government can be put in place. I am the youngest participant to have ever participated in such training programmes since the setting up of the centre by the UN in 2002. I am a United Nations Volunteer(UNV). I have pledge to serve humanity and also to helps the vulnerable groups around the world.

I AM A HUMAN RIGHTS OFFICER WITH MEDEV GROUP, A HUMAN RIGHTS COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION ORGANIZATION. I handle cases of Human Rights abuse. I formerlly worked here as Legal Adviser to these victims of human rights abuse for 18 months before becoming a Human Rights Officer later.
