Lisa is an academic at the University of New South Wales.
Prior to academia, Lisa practised as a lawyer in Australia in litigation, dispute resolution and intellectual property. She also worked as a foreign lawyer in Vietnam, advising on WTO law and general trade and investment matters.
Lisa has been admitted to practice as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of Australia, has been included in the Queensland Supreme Court`s register of mediators, and is currently an international arbitrator of the Azerbaijan Arbitration and Mediation Centre.
Lisa`s research interests include the World Trade Organization, dispute resolution, and the role of law in the Asia-Pacific region. She has acted as a consultant to dispute resolution and WTO projects funded by the US and Canadian governments in Azerbaijan and Vietnam. Lisa is a current member of the International Law & International Relations Committee of the Queensland Law Society, a member of the International Humanitarian Law Committee of the Red Cross (Qld), and a former editor of the LawAsia Journal.
