Profile Information

What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
I'm pursuing my master's in Conflict Analysis and Resolution because four years ago I worked for six months in a refugee camp and became interested in preventing the violence that is so disruptive to countries, communities, families, and morale.
Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
Although I am American, I grew up in Alexandria, Egypt, and in addition to English speak Arabic, French, and Spanish. I studied Anthropology and International Development at Wheaton College for my undergraduate degree and traveled to Bangladesh and Ghana for practical internships. After graduation I moved to Washington DC where I worked for an anti-poverty advocacy organization.

Hi Diana,

Happy Holidays. We are doing well in Kenya but mourning many who were killed when a train luggage rolled over houses in Kibera Slums where I live. I am safe but lost 3 people I knew.
