Profile Information

What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
Because I would like to promote peace and conflict resolution by mparting media skills to my community so that they can use the media to address and solve tehir problems.
Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
Clement Njoroge, the founder and former Managing Editor of The Big Issue Kenya. Mr. Njoroge holds a BA in Philosophy and Religious studies and a Post graduate Diploma in Development Planning and Management from the Catholic University. He is currently an MA researcher on Information Communication Technologies (ICT) and the media at the University of Nairobi School of Journalism. Mr. Njoroge has extensive experience in a range of media initiatives, including work with a multimedia centre called New People Media, Nairobi and an online publication called www.Newsfromafrica.org. He helped to establish the Big Issue Multi Media Centre, which will include a community radio station funded by UNESCO. He is a part-time media lecturer at Jomo Kenya University of Technology. Mr. Njoroge was voted on to the Executive Board of INSP in June 2007, where he uses his unique capacity as a leader and consultant on media-related issues to support street paper development in other African countries. He is currently the director of Citizen Media Development Institute founded in 2008.
