Dear Ms Chloe

I think I could not make it clear that infrastructure development programmes are not media-friendly. Definitely they are. However, the development investment is not getting public participation (particularly in developing countries, like Nepal). As a result of which, the local ownership is somewhat far from expectation. The benefits are not harnessed to its fullest potential.

By making it media-friendly, I mean public take full and active participation from the planning to reaping the benefits together with some ownership so as to use it prudently.

Ms Chloe, am I clear to you. If there are some more clues to bring public to the mainstream of public infrastructure development cycle and involve them more actively that could have been a major impact on the livelihood of the people. And the development worker engaged would have been motivated to explore more of their requirements and address them properly.

I hope this is all for now.
