I have one passion that expresses itself in many areas - the concept of the power of harmony - that gentle harmonious, beautiful things done well are powerful and effective, and are the best way to resolve all our problems. I feel that it may be difficult to explain this convincingly in one article, but perhaps over a series of articles I could make a good case for it.

you still haven't told me who you are outside of your profile...

Caroline the articles in your magazine are very professional and cautious in their approach. I question my ability to write in that style. What I have to say is passionate essays not careful explorations. Do you still want it?

Dear Caroline

For the sake of clarity, I did not suggest to John that you would trasnslate his book. That is his idea. My concern at this point is whether or not it is worth promoting. I turned to you because I thought you may be able to either recommend it or not recommend it. If it is a good book, I would be willing to recommend it to other Norwegian readers. If it is a terrific book then I should think that his publisher would have an interest in having it translated. Lacking that, I see no reason why John would not be able to translate it himself. He knows English.

I know John personally and I know his propensity to take the seed of an idea and run with it. I think that may be what he has done in this instance.

I hope this clarifies my position and request. John's email address is njebosco@yahoo.co.uk. My personal email is jimsandyfoster@yahoo.com.
In future communications I would prefer using my personal email since this is such a public forum.

Thanks.

Jim
