Profile Information

Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
Carol Daniel Kasbari, consultant for change organizations and veteran facilitator for ethnic groups in conflict. She ran conflict mediation activities and programs with Israelis and Palestinians since 1994 through local and international organizations. Until recently she was the Project Manager for a USAID funded project: “Promoting Common Ground Print and Broadcast news in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza” at Search for Common Ground organization, and a former consultant for the tri-lingual CGnews service at SFCG as well. She was the founder and director of the Israeli Palestinian Media Forum (IPMF) in Jerusalem, a program sponsored by UNESCO and she managed numerous media dialogue projects as a consultant for UNESCO division of Freedom of Expression, Democracy and Peace in Paris. She conducted training programs and seminars on the issue of “Conflict Sensitive Reporting” and produced a documentary “On the Road to Dialogue” which was broadcasted on Israeli channel 2 and Palestinian PBC station. Internationally she worked intensively with Greek and Turkish Cypriots journalists to establish a joint forum for media cooperation through the Bi-communal programs for the American Embassy in Nicosia.
She holds a Masters degree in NGO Administration and Public Policy and a dual B.A. degree in Sociology and Anthropology and French Literature from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She has professional training certificates in organizational development methods and facilitation of groups in conflict and fluent in four languages, Arabic, Hebrew, English and French. Carol was born and raised in a Palestinian family from Nazareth, married and a mother of two boys living currently in East Jerusalem.

She has written several papers on the Israeli Palestinian conflict, and on “conflict sensitive reporting” that were published in journals locally and internationally. She wrote several articles on her view and journey living in conflict area, on her personal and professional life. She beleives that through her personal and professional life she can make an impact on the people of the region towards sharing the land and the resonsability.
