- Camilla is the Director of the Institute for Economics and Peace. She is also the Senior Vice President of the Global Peace Index, a new tool for measuring the peacefulness of countries and identifying the drivers of peace. Developed in conjunction with the Economist Intelligence Unit, the Global Peace Index has sparked a debate in the media from all parts of the world.
Camilla is highly experienced in international development work and management of multi-stakeholders partnerships. Camilla has held senior positions at the United Nations for over a decade. Most recently she was the Chief of Office of the United Nations Office for Partnerships, within the Executive Office of the UN Secretary-General. In this role, she advised on the management of the US$1 billion partnership between the United Nations and Mr. Ted Turner's UN Foundation and assisted in overseeing the activities of the recently established UN Democracy Fund. Camilla also led the United Nations’ engagement in the area of Sport for Development & Peace and was part of the team responsible for setting up a new Peacebuilding Support Office at the United Nations.

The latest report of the Institute for Economics and Peace was launched at Davos in the end of January.
Measuring Peace in the Media is an analysis of global television networks coverage of peace and violence issues that uses a fact-based approach which compares various measures from the Global Peace Index against Media Tenor’s database of global media.

Just before 2010 clicked over, Foreign Policy with the International Crisis Group (ICG) published the top 16 crisis points to watch in 2011. According to the International Crisis Group, there are currently three dozen conflicts worldwide, and they took a look at the 16 hotspots to look out for in 2011.

Continue Democracy Index 2010 released

The 2010 Democracy Index, developed by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has just been released.
It shows a decline in democracy over the last 2 years. The Index correlates well with the Global Peace Index but one of its sub-components, the well-functioning of government, correlates even strongly with peace.
