Profile Information

What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
I was born and raised in a small Himalaya kingdom of Nepal, where the country had faced a lot of challenge, conflict as well as war between the Army and Communist Chinese Maoist which has a profound affect on innocent people and it’s economic, tourism sector and most importantly its image damage due to political conflict. Even though, I hold a Diploma in legal studies from London University and reside in Perth Australia, I have decided to support the country that I was born where the education and knowledge are crucial factor to bring the peace stability and strengthen its image.
Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
My name is Bikram Thapa, I was born and raised in a small country of Himalaya Kingdom of Nepal and have been and will be living in Australia . As I was active member of trade union, student political Association, I had faced challenge and police who are public servant violate Human rights and abuse their power. I believe a small contribution to bring peace can take big role. I urge to the member of Amnesty International and other affiliated organization especially with United Nation that country like a Nepal should not be part of political victim and victimized by such movement such as a Maoist movement. United Nation (UN) and USA must take initiative role to resolve the political crisis and put pressure on neighboring nation such as China and India to bring the peace and maintain the elected Maoist Government or other party elected Government. Every civilian of each country human rights and freedom should be respected and protected that’s the Basic human rights.
