Profile Information

- Baybars Örsek has a BA degree on International Relations at Istanbul Bilgi Univeristy and now he is pursuing his graduate studies at Istanbul Sabanci University on Conflict Analysis & Resolution Program.
In 2006, Baybars Örsek, with 37 young people had initiated the youngest political party in Turkey and Europe, the Powerful Turkey Party. He has been serving as the "Vice President in charge of foreign affairs" since 2009. He is also the board member of Society and Democracy Association
He has pioneered several international projects between Turkey-Armenia and Turkey-United States and interned at Washington, DC for the Turkish Coalition of America.
He had participated to a voluntery work at the Fraser Institute (Canada) on a fundraising project about childs educations in private schools.
Baybars Orsek has recieved a special training at the University of Maryland, on the "Multi-Track Diplomacy: Transforming Violent Conflict" in 2010

Amerika seyehatim inanılmaz soğuk havaya rağmen gayet verimli geçmekte. Maryland Universitesi bünyesinde gerçekleştirilen “Uyuşmazlık Çözümü’ne Yurttaş Diplomasisi” konulu programın beklediğimden çok daha yorucu olmakla birlikte hem katılımcı profili hem de verilen pratik eğitim açısından çok başarılı bir program olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Kenya’dan Malezyadan, Çinden katılımcıların yanısıra Amerika’lı öğrenci ve profesyonellerin de bulunduğu programa dair önümüzde… Continue

Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Başkentinden herkese merhabalar..
Uyuşmazlık Analizi ve Çözümü ile ilgili yüksek lisans yaptığımı ilk yazımda kendimden bahsederken belirtmiştim. Şu günlerde de çok yönlü diplomasinin çatışmaları çözmede oynayabileceği roller ile ilgili bir eğitim programı için Washington D.C. de bulunmaktayım. Ocak ayının sonuna kadar hem eğitim amaçlı hem de sivil toplum adına çalışmalar yapmak için ABD’ de bulunacağım. Bu süre içerisinde de elimden geldiği kadar… Continue

Böyle gelmiş böyle gidecek demeyenler bilirler ki, birşeyleri değiştirmek istiyorsanız önce siz adım atmalısınız. Eleştirmek her zaman yararlıdır ama çözüm önerisi getirmeyen eleştiriler yapıcı değildir ve etkili olamazlar. Türkiye’de yaşayan her yurttaşın, hayatı boyunca çeşitli haksızlıklara, yanlışlıklara ve çifte standarda maruz kalmış olması yüksek ihtimal dahilinde olduğu gibi, ülkemizin de uluslararası alanda türlü haksızlıklar ve çifte standarda maruz kaldığını rahatlıkla… Continue
