Profile Information

What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
Participation in Mississippi Freedom Summer and a long standing belief that military "solutions" usually make things worse.
Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
I am a systems scientist with a special interest in organizations and mass movements. Past jobs have included custom manufacturing, software development, university teaching and research, community development, and carpenter. I have been a full-time writer (novelist and some essays) the last several years. My first novel, Denmark Rising, explores the dynamics of 1940's Denmark using strategic nonviolence to resist the Nazis. The next set of novels will explore how to move away from the American Empire towards the American Ideal and the Beloved Community of martin Luther King.

Currently trying to discern/invent a path from where the US is today toward a society that would more nearly be a Beloved Community as e.g. Martin Luther King conceived it. My intent is to write a series of novels exploring these ideas.
