Profile Information

Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
My name is Ava, and I'm from San Francisco, California. I'm just finishing my post-graduate course work at the European University for Peace and Conflict Studies in Austria. Now on to my thesis, which has to do with the interrelationship between global civil society and global dialogue. The aim of my research is to create reconciliation through educational models based on building unity within diverse worldviews. I'm particularly the emerging global consciousness given the nature of shifting world patterns.
As a Buddhist, my research is grounded in a philosophical framework, and I'm really interested in the root causes of violence, especially from the point of view of individual responsibility.
I believe in baby steps from the ground on up, and will no doubt work in the grass roots...
What is your current country of residence (or location of your organization)?
Austria
What is your current job (and organization) and/or where and what field are you studying?
