Bradford is fine. I hope Care Inter'l is fine too. Did you participate in this year's Gulu Walk? I missed it.
Best regards,

It is very encourging indeed to hear your words, as a Ugandan.
And, of course, you're right. As activists, as soon as we stand out, we lay ourselves open to abuse & criticism.
That's one reason these forum's are so important - so we can support each other.
Thank you so much for your feedback.
Love
Chris
Yes, sorry, i do know where Gulu is, though we never got to visit is.
I'm just feeling a bit downhearted at the moment in repsonse to a video we posted on u-tube about our trip to Kaabong...
I know there are some people out there who are very emotional about any 'outside interference', particluarly in countries which the British have previously colonised (and i feel very ashamed about what the British have done). But our Kaabong video was supposed to be about the incredible workk the Ugandans are doing for themselves. Obviously this doesn't come across in the video because I'm in it. But Grace, who runs the women's groups, is a Ugandan and very passionate about helping the women of Kaabong to become more empowered, especially those who are HIV positive, who are ostracised because they are disabled, victims of rape etc.
I would be very grateful indeed if you might find time to look at this video and let me know - very honestly - what impression it gives to you.
The offensive comments on it were only posted today, so I'm feeling very upset about it. I fully acknowledge there's a whole heap of trust-building to be done between countries such as Uganda and the 'west'.
I value your opinion and fully welcome any feedback you have Achan....

Whereabouts in Northern Uganda are you from?
Warmest wishes
Chris
I am fine. Bradford is ok, too. It is nice to meet you through this social space. Let's keep in touch.
Apwoyo.

so very sorry I missed seeing you in Uganda after all...
the three weeks seemed to dash past!
It was an incredibly fulfilling trip and there is much to tell you.
We didn't get to Gulu however, but travelled from Kampala to Soroti, to Kaabong, and Bunyoro. And we intend to come back again!
I'll write more fully to you - or may be email you - when I've a little more time - still catching up at this end!
I'd really love to learn more about your work in Gulu.
Love
Chris
I look forward to hearing more about your work in Northern Uganda. My own work focuses on genocide, and I'm interested in the process of post-conflict reconstruction in your country.
best wishes in your important work,
Amanda
I invite you for becoming a friend of mine.
yours Dikendra
