Comment by Meera Patel on April 10, 2012 at 4:18pm Believe this would be of interest: www.beatingthebomb.com
A historical documentary charting ‘The Bomb’ from 1941 to present day, framing the nuclear weapons issue within the wider context of global justice. It is about war, foreign policy, vested interests, nuclear weapons and the fight against them.
Made as a non commercial project to increase awareness on issues (un)der reported by the mainstream media – it’s available as a FREE RESOURCE for educational and campaigning purposes.
We allow people/organisations supporting sustainable and peaceful causes to arrange fundraiser screenings for the causes THEY support.

Thank you so much!
I am a mature aged Masters student at AUT University, Auckland, New Zealand. I was thrilled to discover the University for Peace through the network. I am looking forward to learning much from the contributions of others and hopefully being able to make my own contributions from time to time. My MA thesis to commence shortly is "When can the mandated Peace-keepers be withdrawn after intrastate armed conflict?"

Comment by MasterPeace on March 8, 2011 at 5:51am We are approaching your much respected organization, to cooperate, from the heart of new Cairo that is looking with hope for a better peaceful future and free life for it`s people, and proceeding from your goals in making the world a better place, we are offering a partnership, including you write about MasterPeace activities and we including you in all our promotional materials.
MasterPeace will be the most heartwarming global peace project ever, as a result of an intensive East-West cooperation, supported by NGOs, companies, cities, social entrepreneurs and you. MasterPeace will develop several attractive peace-building projects, including a mesmerizing concert in Cairo on Peace Day 2014, where artists from all the world’s major conflict areas will perform to promote togetherness, international collaboration and the reduction of (armed) conflicts. The concert will be an exclusive reward for people who actively supported peace-building activities in the years before Peace Day 2014. Because peace-building is a verb. “Creating peace. Together”.
WHY MASTERPEACE?
There are many reasons to start a large-scale, new, fresh, innovative, bottom-up peace initiative supported by the ‘East’ and the ‘West’.
We are dedicated to put MUSIC above FIGHTING, DIALOGUE above JUDGEMENT, BREAD above BOMBS and CREATION above DESTRUCTION. --
Comment by Marietta Agathe on January 12, 2011 at 4:00pm I am a student at the University for Peace. The University is a graduate school and therefore do not offer undergraduate courses. There are a few scholarships but many students are Rotary International Scholars. For more information about admission at UPEACE, please go to the website www.upeace.org.
Best wishes,
Marietta
