hi friends. It is gratifying to see the positive response our group Media and Peace is generating. I strongly believe that with the additional portals and sites we are receiving on this group, we as members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm we help realize the objective for which this group was formed. Please share additional information on this group and invite others to join. Cheers.

The Peacemakers Trust (in Canada) has a useful portal page intended for academics, practitioners and students in fields of conflict studies, journalism and communication. Have a look at

"Reporting on Conflict: Research and Education Resources on Media, Conflict and Society", here:

With best wishes,

LinkTV in the USA will broadcast a new English-subtitled version of an award-winning Chinese documentary called "Kindergarten" in September. This program gives a gentle and beautiful glimpse into the first year of school for 2 and 3 year olds whose parents are generally both working. It serves to establish the common humanity of us all, and give a fascinating picture of early childhood in China. It is available for broadcast in other countries; please contact me for information.

Hi Sahar, you are more than welcome!

By the way, as this is a media-related group, I'd like to share with you a list that I've compiled, a list of relevant organisations and individuals that some of you may find useful:
https://twitter.com/#/list/PeaceLeadership/journalism-media-news

If you know other relevant twitter users that should be on this list, please suggest them to @PeaceLeadership if you use twitter, or send me a message on this network. Thanks a lot everybody for any suggestion.

I wish you all a peaceful and beautiful day! Liviu.

Please take a look at www.LETV.org. Living Earth Television is a noncommercial broadcasting project helping to nurture peace by locating and translating wonderful community documentary TV programs for international broadcast. A simple and practical use of media to promote peace. Looking forward to your comments. MarthaF@letv.org.
