Dear friend
"Vasudev kutumbkam" entire world is a family, this was a teaching of our Indian culture and tradition.
We created countries, boundaries, religions. But this is the time to realize that we are one, our source of life and breath is same , we naturally interconnected with each other. When we understand this simple thing then we must understand how our and other's life is equally important, valuable and respectable.God has given us a human life to look after the wellbeing of all living life in this planet.

Guiding Principles for the Implementation of the 'Protect, Respect, Remedy' Framework

The recently-drafted Guiding Principles are open for comment and discussion at SRSG John Ruggie's online consultation forum.

The Guiding Principles elaborate and clarify for companies, states, and other stakeholders how they can operationalize the UN ‘Protect, Respect and Remedy’ Framework, by taking practical steps to address business impacts on the human rights of individuals.

The forum will remain open until 31 January, 2011. The SRSH will present the Principles to the UN Human Rights Council in June 2011. Read the draft now.

I'm looking for some good case studies re international human rights and business. Also negotiation ethics (particularly for lawyers working in contexts where there is endemic corruption). I need fairly easy-to-read materials for graduate law students for whom English is a foreign language. I'd appreciate suggestions....
