Why is better governance critical for the future of inclusive and sustainable development?

What do conflict, governance and development have in common?

Which potential solutions for good governance present themselves at the local, national, and global level?

The Institute of Development Policy and Management (University of Antwerp, Belgium) offers three Master's Programmes in Development studies.

The Master 'Governance and Development' analyses governance problems and possible responses with due account being given to specific historical pathways of countries and the interaction between the national state level, local society level, and the impact of global developments. Students are familiarised with multidisciplinary theoretical insights and practical tools that will improve their capacity to analyse governance challenges at different levels.

The master programme offers two tracks with specific objectives and courses:

Track 1: Governance and Conflict

Track 2: Local Governance and Poverty Reduction

30 Vliruos scholarships for these master programmes are available.

The scholarship covers all expenses related to the studies . For detailed information please check http://www.scholarships.vliruos.be/  DEADLINE: 01/02/2013
