This is a project based position.
Hunt Alternatives Fund includes an operating foundation and a private grant making foundation that advance innovative and inclusive approaches to social change at local, national, and global levels.
The incumbent of this position will work with the program manager of the South Sudan and Sudan Team of The Institute for Inclusive Security, a program of Hunt Alternatives Fund in Washington, DC, that uses research, training, and advocacy to promote the inclusion of all stakeholders, especially women, in peace processes.
Inclusive Security works with women leaders from conflict zones all around the world to ensure their inclusion in peace processes. Most recently, the South Sudan and Sudan team has returned from a trip to Juba, South Sudan that resulted in the gathering of rich, raw footage of women leaders advocating for their priorities and presence in peace processes.
The video editor will support the South Sudan/Sudan and Communications teams in the creation of up to two short pieces from the footage for the web. One piece will be a teaser for a future project that shows what’s at stake for women in South Sudan/Sudan, while the second piece will likely be a collection of short interviews with women leaders from South Sudan. Footage was captured on EX1 and 7D. This project is a great way for an aspiring video editor to build their portfolio while supporting the innovative and inspiring work of women in South Sudan.
