Development and Communications Intern at American Friends of The Parents Circle Families Forum

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate student to be immersed in a small, dynamic nonprofit environment and hone research skills while learning about fundraising and development.

Internship Length

Summertime, fall or spring semesters, part-time

Duties:

• Provide integral support to the organization by researching potential and current donors including corporations, foundations and individuals
• Develop and maintain E-Newsletter
• Update and maintain donor database
• Tackle tasks with minimal supervision
• Assist with general office duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduate-level student studying international affairs, public policy, nonprofit management or related field
• Superior research skills
• Outstanding ability to categorize, organize, and present research
• Fluency in English
• Interest and commitment to international development, conflict resolution, social justice, or nonprofit management
• Some interest in and ability to manage special events
• Experience working in a developing country or with a foundation a plus

Commitment

At least one full semester (spring, summer or fall); 10-15 hours per week
