Peace and Collaborative Development Network

Building Bridges, Networks and Expertise Across Sectors

I am looking for resources and tools to do Rapid Program Assessments on Peacebuilding projects in the rift valley.
Does anyone have any new interesting tools that they would like to share to create dynamic processes towards reconcilation?
thank you and have a great day!

Anna--for having an appropriate education, you may have all the tools you need, so I pose this, perhaps, as a reminder:

Extrinsic motivation and observable/measurable goals : by-whens, milestones, end-states.

Intrinsic motivation and detectable data : attitudes, beliefs, behaviors extant --> preferred world view / discrepency.

That's a little bit of telegraphy or shorthand from my social science days, but the basic concepts could be expressed in simile as "How is work going on the bridge?" and "how has working on the bridge changed you?"

If you can describe State "A" in both concrete terms and psychological dimensions, you have got the basis for discrepency analysis, and that, of course, is assessment.

I've borrowed also here from screenwriter Michael Hague who to effect change in a character's stance provides an interesting emotional problem: for a character to get something he wants, which Hague would place in the extrinsic motivation bin, the character may have to overcome something in himself (intrinsic motivation) to do that.
