| Position Description | This is a full-time position responsible for providing program logistical and management support to funded projects awarded to the Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy (DRLA) as well as to the DRLA Academic Program as needed. The Program Manager provides program support, assistance and advocacy to the DRLA faculty and staff, focusing on the administrative needs for program grant acquisition and management, providing technical assistance where appropriate, towards meeting project deliverables and grant program support. The Program Manager will collaborate with faculty and staff on activity development and monitoring so that project activities and expenditures are tracked; assists faculty and staff to develop specific program and project activity budgets as appropriate; manages and monitors day-to-day procurement and administrative processes for implementing funded project activities, as well as the academic program where needed. The Program Manager will additionally contribute to grant-writing opportunities. This position is located in New Orleans, LA, but will include travel as necessary to be determined by DRLA’s Executive Director. |
| Minimum Qualifications | Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills required. Ability to develop and track work plans and budgets. Working knowledge of online collaboration tools and Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Power Point; Internet and email required. Fluency in English and French/Spanish |
| Minimum Required Education | Master’s degree required, preferably in Disaster Risk Management, Public Health, International Development or Social Work. |
