Mama Cash aims to strengthen its regional knowledge and language skills by hiring a Programme Associate who has expertise in Africa and the Middle East. The Programme Associate will support our Programme Officers as they build our networks, shape our portfolio of grantees, and identify and develop our priorities in the above mentioned regions.
The position requires working closely with the rest of the grantmaking team to implement grantmaking and accompaniment strategies and procedures based on our strategic plan (2009-2014). The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience working in/with the relevant regions Africa and the Middle East and with women’s rights and feminist groups. Because communications with groups will be in several languages, fluency in oral and written English and French is required and Arabic preferred.
JOB SUMMARY
The Programme Associate (PA) carries out direct administrative and substantive grantmaking and programmatic support to several Programme Officers (PO). A high level of organizational and multi tasking skills is needed.
The PA operates under the direct supervision of a designated Programme Officer.
Because communications with groups will be in several languages, fluency in oral and written English and French is required and Arabic preferred.
