We are recruiting an Issue Editor to work on the latest project and publication in our Accord series. The project – number 25 in the series – will look at governance and peacebuilding, in particular at challenges of how to promote legitimate politics in fragile states as part of a peace process.
We are looking for someone with specialist knowledge and experience of peacebuilding and governance who is also a strong editor and writer. You will have worked on these issues in a variety of contexts, will understand the practical challenges as well as contemporary policy debates and will bring a wide network of relevant contacts.
You will need strong communication skills and be able to work with a publication team across a number of countries. You will have experience of supporting authors who may not be experienced writers to express their ideas and experience, as well as working with expert policymakers, practitioners and analysts. We are particularly interested in people who can help ensure the publication reflects a diversity of perspectives and experiences.
The consultancy is for an estimated 90 days spread between 1 April and 31 December 2013. It is possible there will be additional work in the first part of 2014 to share project findings globally; this will be subject to a separate contract.

All the above should be emailed to recruitment@c-r.org with 'Accord 25 Series Editor' in the title of the email.
