The Global Social Venture Competition is the world’s preeminent social business plan competition providing aspiring entrepreneurs with mentoring, exposure, and $50,000 in prize money to transform their business ideas into positive real-world impact.
In the Executive Summary Round, teams submit an Executive Summary of their business idea. Please visit the GSVC calendar for the various executive summary deadlines. A select number of plans will be chosen to move forward to the Regional Semi-Final Rounds hosted by our Regional Partners. Teams that advance will expand their entries to full business plans, and compete in Regional Semi-Final Rounds.
The top two teams from each Regional Semi-Final Round will be selected to compete in April 2013 at the Global Finals at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, which will consist of two consecutive rounds. Teams will resubmit their business plan and supporting documents, with the opportunity to make revisions post Regional Semi-Finals, for the Global Finals Round. Winners are announced at the culmination of the global finals and prizes are awarded as follows: 1st place: $25,000 The remaining $10,000 will be distributed through a People's Choice award and special awards. |
