CIVICUS: World Alliance for Citizen Participation is looking for experienced bloggers to cover and promote the 12th annual CIVICUS World Assembly, taking place on 3-7 September in Montreal, Canada. Everyone, from university students to Indignados to Occupy Protesters to professional bloggers to development executives, is encouraged to apply.
We are looking for punctual bloggers with experience in and knowledge of areas such as civil society, democratic space, development effectiveness, social justice, social change, social innovation, participatory governance and global governance. Send us your blog posts and we will follow and share them on the World Assembly blog. Please contactmaianh.tran-ho@inm.qc.ca with your posts or ideas.
We are also looking for 4 official bloggers interested in covering the topics falling under the World Assembly programme tracks : Changing Nations Through Citizens;Redefining Global Governance; Building Partnerships for Social Innovation and the conference theme of Defining a new social contract – Making the future together. Official bloggers must be available to write two posts a month up to the event, 2 posts during and 1 post after. Official bloggers will receive complimentary conference registration, but they must cover for all other expenses linked to their participation. To apply, please send a brief statement explaining why you would like to be a part of the blogging team, accompanied by a link to your blog/website and links to three of your best posts tomaianh.tran-ho@inm.qc.ca with the subject line ‘WA BLOGGER – APPLICATION’.
