Many PCDN members would be interested in the recent funding  (substantial!) made available by the Australian Government for organisations to counter violent extremism.

This is an exciting opportunity to gather creative community energies and engage in peace-building activities. So much inspiring work is already being done by PCDN members in other parts of the world that could inform communities in Australia to build effective programs.

Please respond if you are interested in collaborating on a proposal – but note, the deadline is the end of April!

I am truly interested. I am the President and Executive Director of "Africa Mission Initiative" for Peace based in Kigali City and working in the area of peace-building for several years in Rwanda.
Our proposal will reach you in proper time.

Hello, I am Mr. Pyana Symphorien, a Program Assistant (Research, Socio-political Mobilization and Development Support) at the Jesuit Center For Social Action-CEPAS(Kinshasa-DR Congo) and the Director of Association des Ami(e)s du Pere Tony-ASAPT, a local NGO decicated to peace and development work in Eastern DR Congo.

I am interested in collaborating on a proposal linked to ASAPT's peace education and community healing program. In partnership with Teachers Without Borders, we have been developing professional peace education workshops for local teachers and initiating teachers' study groups to address violence in schools in the region. Building on this experience we are willing to collaborate with you on a community healing project which will involve community stakeholders and youth and children out of schools.

I am looking forward to receiving your feedback. For further details: bwehe75@gmail.com
