Building Bridges, Networks and Expertise Across Sectors

At http://www.nationalpeaceacademy.us/index.php?option=com_content&... are links to the best practices and human experiences of citizens involved in the Middle East public peace process of successful face-to-face youth and adult engagement. These tools and examples were gathered by the 17-year-old Jewish-Palestinian Living Room Dialogue in California, in Sept. 2009 preparing for their 210th meeting -- http://traubman.igc.org/dg-prog.htm .

It is our experience that Change cannot begin with governments, who follow successful (or unsuccessfull) models established by the citizens. Governments cannot move beyond the people, who often are in fear from lack of human contact and ignorance of the "other." A widespread Public Peace Process of face-to-face engagement and successful, positive models is required for governments to Change -- illustrated at http://traubman.igc.org/changechartsall.pdf .

Hi Libby, Len and those following,

Have you heard of Peace it Together. We do very similar work... Palestinian and Israeli youth teaming up to make films about the conflict. Their films are being shown at film festivals across the world and they can all can be seen on our website or on youtube!!

Plus, we released an educational package for high school students. You can watch a trailer at

This is project based-learning at its best...
