The inaugural summit of the American Middle Eastern Network for Dialogue at Stanford begins this week! 40 delegates from 20 different countries in the Middle East, North Africa, and North America will convene for five days of discussion and collaboration.
Our delegates include the co-founder of a citizen journalism news site that has 1.5 million likes on Facebook and played a major role facilitating the Egyptian Revolution, a Palestinian non-violence activist who Time Magazine described as "the face of the New Middle East," a Moroccan political activist who is a prominent member of the Feb. 20th movement against the monarchy, and an American social entrepreneur who founded the first micro-finance program in the Middle East. The event is sponsored by Stanford University and was co-founded by two stanford students, from Bahrain and Chicago respectively, who were inspired to promote greater collaboration between the US and the Middle East in the wake of the Arab Spring.

We would like to invite any of you who are in the area (Northern California) to attend any of our public events! Tlhe delegates will each give a talk on their initiative in the style of TED Talks, and we have guest speakers and panelists, as well.
