Building Bridges, Networks and Expertise Across Sectors

Hello PCDN,

Just few minutes ago, CA assembly of Nepal officially abolished the 239 years old monarchy by the popular votes. There are tons of pro and contra arguments about the legitimacy and validity of the process.

Therefore, I want to learn about the conventional or contemporary process, if there are something similar examples exist about the monarchies abolishment (cases)?

Actually what could be considered as a democratic legitimate process for abolishing the monarchy system? Can we develop any universal theory or norms by considering some cases and practices?

I am looking forward to your worthy contribution and participation.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Krishna Hari Pushkar
